The Amiens Cathedral Interactive Glossary

Description: The Amiens Cathedral animated glossary is a fundamental rethinking of the standard "list of glossary terms" in a digital format that allows students to master the vocabulary that describe the parts of a Gothic Cathedral. The program focuses on the terms associated with the ground plan and the elevation of the Cathedral. Designed to accommodate individual learning habits and preferences, students move easily through a digital environment that is both instructive and engaging.

The Animated Glossary is part of a larger compliment of advanced digital materials developed by Professor Stephen Murray focusing on the Gothic Cathedral of Amiens including: two video productions, an interactive CD-ROM and a comprehensive Web site—delivering primary texts and rich imaging specifically tailored to the Art Humanities program.
